Answer: A Sub User/Childs needs to download the app in the android mobile. In byteHome main Page the child user will press the (+) button and input the device key of which he wants to become the Child and a notification will be sent to the Admin. After the admin approves, the new user will become the Child user of the particular byteHome device. The request can be approved by the Admin user from Pending Request under menu in byteHome app
Answer: The “Secret Key” is a code that is sent to the first person who registers to byteHome App and by default becomes the Admin. This key has to be preserved. If the Admin/Ownership has to be changed the new user has to input the key. And at the same time after using this key the old key will become invalid and new key will be sent to new the Admin.
Answer: The current byteHome device is able to control low consumption Electrical Appliances like Light, Fan, Iron etc. Heavier appliances like Freezer, Geyser, AC switches cannot be controlled. But we can build a custom made device for you as per your requirement.

Answer: Yes. The new owner has to collect the Secret key from Old user. After registration the new user will use the old key by adding that to the 3 dot button on the top right corner of the byteHome main page. And a new secret key will sent to the New Admin. Same process applies if the ownership admin changes. Please follow the ownership change process described in features.

Answer: The byteHome device will require active Wi-Fi connection to operate. The users will also be required to be connected to internet.
Answer: Yes, with internet connectivity users can control the byteHome Device from anywhere in the world. byteHome device should also be connected to Wi-Fi at the same time.
Answer: Yes with one android mobile you can become the admin of as many devices as you want.
Answer: Only the admin user has the access to tools menu. From “All Users” under menu you can check which device you are the Admin of.
Answer: No. Only one user can be Admin user.
Answer: Yes. You will need to redesign your switchboard on the app.
Answer: You will need an active Wi-Fi connection. After installing the byteHome device go to Wi-Fi settings in your mobile. Refresh the list of available Wi-Fi networks. You will find your Device ID in the list. Now open your mobile browser type 192.168.4.1 in the address bar and click enter. You will be redirected to another window with your device key as the header. There you will select Configure Wi-Fi button. You will be directed to another window where available Wi-Fi network list will be shown. Click the Wi-Fi network you will be using. After clicking the network, you will be asked to put in your Wi-Fi password. Input the password and click save.

Answer: Yes. You have to follow the Wi-Fi set up process. Each time you change the network you have to follow the same Wi-Fi set up process.

Answer: You will be able to transfer the old credentials to a new phone. You have to follow phone lost scenario process
Answer: Yes. Go to All User, select the byteHome device from which you want to remove child user. A list will be displayed and you will click on the Child user you want to remove. There you will get the “Deactivate” option. Pressing that will remove the child user. Please refer to Child User Deactivation process.
Answer: No. You will have to control the physical switches manually then.
Answer: Only an admin user has the access to “Tools” of the byteHome app. Go to “Tools” and the list of devices which shows are the devices you are the Admin of.
